How to create a Club Event?

Club Staff must have Administration permissions in order to Create or Promote a Club Event.

Step By Step -- How to Create Events on Clubster

When you create an Event, you are creating an Event that will appear on the Event List and the Event Calendar only.  If you wish to Promote the Event (publish Event in the News Feed, and send Email and Mobile Push Notifications), you will be able to Promote the Event after the Event is created.

Steps to Create an Event:

Step 1 – Enter a Title for your Event

Step 2 – Enter (or copy and paste) your Event Description

Step 3 – Set your Event Schedule.

If your Event is an “All Day” Event, check the box for “This Event is All Day”, then enter an Event Start Date and an Event End Date.  (Note:  Only an Event Start Date is required)

If your Event is not an “All Day” Event, enter an Event Start Date, Event Start Time, Event End Date, and Event End Time.  (Note:  Only an Event Start Date is required)

Step 4 – Set Recurring Options (If Event Repeats).  If your Event is a recurring Event, check the box for “This Event Repeats”.  This will open the Recurring Options section.  First, select Daily, Weekly, Monthly or Yearly.  Next, set the parameters next to your preferred selection.  (Note:  The “Continuing Until/For” sate is inclusive, meaning that the date selected may have an Event on it, depending on set criteria)

Step 5 – Schedule Event (if desired).

If you wish to the Event to be published to the Event Calendar at a later date, check the box, “Publish Events on Specific Date”, and enter the days before the Event start date that you wish the Event to be published to the Event Calendar.

If you wish to the Event to be removed from the Event Calendar at a later date, check the box, “Remove Events on Specific Date”, and enter the days after the Event end date that you wish the Event to be removed from the Event Calendar.

Step 6 – Add Media (if desired).  Media includes any photo, gif file, video or YouTube video you wish to attach to the Event.  Click on “Add Photo or Video” button, to allow you to drag and drop photo, gif, and video files, or click to select them from your computer.

Step 7 – Add Attachments (if desired). Attachments include any type of document, including PDF’s, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  Click on “Add An Attachment” to allow you to select an file from your computer.

After you have created your Event as desired, then you have 2 options:

Publish Event – This will publish the Event to the Event List and Event Calendar.

Preview & Save – This will save the Event as a draft.  To access any draft Events, go to Club/Group Administration > Manage Club/Group Events.  Click on the draft Event, where you can Edit and then Publish the Event to the Event List and Event Calendar.
