https login?
Why is a membership-based login not protected by https?
Kinda' crazy not to take this most basic step of protecting the privacy and integrity of the site and the membership of so many people in so many organizations.

I absolutely agree (see my recent post)! There is no excuse whatsoever for not implementing https. I'm a programmer and it is a trivial matter to implement https and could be done in a single day. Show me another website these days that does not use https and I'll show you a website I would never visit :)
